mkodo Becomes Member of Canadian Gaming Association

B2B gaming technology supplier mkodo has become a member of the Canadian Gaming Association (CGA), marking a significant step in its longstanding involvement in the Canadian gaming industry. For over a decade, mkodo has provided mobile apps, websites, front-end UX, and geolocation technology to numerous Canadian lotteries, including those operated by Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG), British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC), Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC), Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC), and Atlantic Lottery Corporation (ALC).

In a recent announcement, mkodo highlighted that joining the CGA underscores its commitment to delivering high-quality, secure, and user-friendly products and services that cater to the evolving needs of iGaming operators and their players. The company emphasized that this strategic partnership reflects its dedication to enhancing the digital experience within Canada’s regulated iGaming sector.

As a CGA member, mkodo will collaborate with industry leaders to promote innovation, advocate for responsible gaming practices, and contribute to the growth and sustainability of lottery, betting, and gaming, both land-based and online, across all Canadian provinces.

“We are thrilled to join the Canadian Gaming Association, an organization that plays a crucial role in shaping the future of the regulated gaming industry in Canada,” said Stuart Godfree, Managing Director of mkodo. “This membership aligns perfectly with our mission to provide exceptional user experiences in iGaming and Lottery and reinforces our commitment to supporting responsible gaming initiatives within Canada. We look forward to collaborating with CGA members to drive forward the industry’s standards and innovation.”

Paul Burns, President and CEO of the CGA, noted that mkodo’s expertise as a leading supplier of mobile apps and geolocation technology to Crown Corporations Lotteries would be a valuable addition to the CGA community.

Expanding GeoLocs Reach

In addition to supporting Canadian lotteries, mkodo provides geolocation compliance services through its GeoLocs platform to lottery operators like OLG and WCLC, as well as commercial iGaming operators and platforms in Ontario, including White Hat Gaming and Betty.

This week, mkodo announced a new partnership with Casino Time, providing geolocation services for players in Ontario. Earlier this year, mkodo achieved ISO27001:2022 certification for its iGaming services, following a rigorous process that included thorough evaluations of data protection plans and security policies.

GeoLocs has secured several new partnerships in 2024, including deals with The Mill Adventure and High Flyer Casino, both of which have market access in Ontario. These partnerships reflect GeoLocs’ growing influence and reach within the regulated gaming market.

Through its membership in the CGA and the expansion of its GeoLocs platform, mkodo continues to play a pivotal role in enhancing the digital and regulatory landscape of Canada’s gaming industry.
